OpenMediaVault releases 6.0.43 update

There’s a new update out for OMV fans.

The OpenMediaVault team has released an update for the popular NAS operating system. The latest release bumps the version number up to 6.0.43. It’s not a major update, including “various improvements” and a minor noted change. Here’s all you need to know and how to install the update.

What is OpenMediaVault 6.0.43?

OpenMediaVault 6.0.43 contains the following:

  • Update locale files.
  • Various improvements.

Fixes

  • Issue #1400: Strip whitespaces from the user name at the authentication process.

OpenMediaVault also rolled out some updates for other packages available:

  • openmediavault-filebrowser 6.0.4.
  • openmediavault-onedrive 6.2.7.
  • openmediavault-owntone 6.0.5.
  • openmediavault-photoprism 6.0.7.
  • openmediavault-s3 6.0.3.

How to install this OpenMediaVault update

Installing the latest version of OpenMediaVault on your DIY NAS couldn’t be easier. Follow these steps and you’ll be installing the latest release in no time at all:

  1. Log into OpenMediaVault.
  2. Go to System > Update Management.

Here you can check for and install available updates, as well as configure whether you want access to the OMV beta channel (not recommended for a live NAS).
