TerraMaster has rolled out a significant update for its TOS operating system. If you’re using either the F2-223 or F4-223 you may have noticed degraded performance when it comes to the GPU. This release fixes that issue! Here’s everything that is new in TOS 5.1.33.
What’s new in TerraMaster TOS 5.1.33?
Changes
- Optimized the speed of SMB under 10GbE network environment.
- Modified the download path of the update package.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue that 423/223 series cannot use hardware video acceleration.
- Fixed an issue that the array in the external hard disk box could not be repaired.
It’s worth noting that this update includes a version of the Linux Kernel (5.15) that drops support for the Intel Celeron J1800/J1900 GPUs. If you’re using a NAS that has this CPU, we recommend not updating TOS if you wish to continue using the GPU. NAS affected include the F2-220, F2-420, F4-220, F4-420, and F5-420.

- Click Manual Update.
- Click Browse and choose the downloaded update file.
