TerraMaster announced the launch of the U4-423, a new four-bay NAS designed for use inside server racks. The compact 1U server comes equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron processor and 2.5Gb networking. It’s designed as a cost-effective server solution for small to medium-sized businesses.
Update 26/10: We incorrectly stated below that the TerraMaster U4-423 has no M.2 slots when it actually has one for use with SSDs. This has been fixed and we apologize for the error.
Rocking an Intel Celeron N5105/N5095 quad-core processor (found in some of the best NAS) with a base clock speed of 2.0GHz that can boost to 2.9GHz, the TerraMaster U4-423 is capable of handling a high-load workflow with numerous concurrent users connected. Whether it’s for processing data or storing backups, the U4-423 is ready for deployment.
The base configuration has 4GB of DDR4 system memory, but the CPU supports up to 32GB in dual-channel. There are two 2.5Gb LAN connections on the rear of the server that can handle high levels of network traffic. You could install a few of these servers to provide additional bandwidth.
